Must have 1 year of recent experience in this specialty
Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
Identifies patterns of human responses to actual or potential health problems amenable to a nursing regimen
Executes a nursing regimen through the selection, performance, management and evaluation of nursing action
Assesses health status for the purpose of providing nursing care, provides health counseling and teaching as indicated for patients and their families.
Teaches, administers, supervises, delegates and evaluates nursing practices.
Performs nursing activities in their designated areas; preoperative, intra-operative and/or post-operative phases of the surgical experience for patients of assigned ages. The roles are flexible and diverse and include (but are not limited to) circulating nurse, scrub nurse and surgical assistant. The nurse has the primary responsibility and accountability for nursing care of patients having surgical interventions
Provides individualized patient/family education customized to the patient and his/her family.
Maintains confidentiality in matters related to patient and family. Provides care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to the patient's and family's diversity, preserving their autonomy, dignity and rights.
